Itinerary
Welcome to Indore! Nestled in the heart of the Malwa Plateau, Indore is a city rich in history, culture, and architectural splendor, all of which are legacies of the mighty Holkar dynasty. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. After settling in, proceed to visit Rajwada, a historic palace dating back to 1747 AD, known for its seven-story structure that reflects a blend of Maratha, Mughal, and French architectural styles. Later, visit the Lal Bagh Palace, one of the grandest monuments built by the Holkar dynasty, showcasing opulence and architectural finesse. Overnight stay at Indore.
Start your day with an early morning departure to Mandu, a fortress town perched on the southwestern edge of the Malwa Plateau at an altitude of 2000 feet. Mandu is renowned for the legendary love story of poet-prince Baz Bahadur and his beautiful consort Rani Roopmati. Explore the majestic Jahaz Mahal (Ship Palace), the striking Hindola Mahal (Swing Palace), Hoshang Shah's Tomb (India’s first marble structure), and the romantic Rani Roopmati Pavilion. Later, proceed to Maheshwar, a historic town on the banks of the Narmada River.
