Itinerary
Arrive in Bangalore and proceed to Hassan, a picturesque city nestled in South Karnataka. Enroute, visit Shravanabelagola, a prominent Jain pilgrimage center known for its towering Gommatesvara Bahubali statue, one of the largest monolithic statues in the world, standing at 57 feet tall. This ancient town is steeped in over 2,300 years of history and is renowned for its Jain art, architecture, and spiritual significance. Continue your journey to Belur, located on the banks of the Yagachi River. Belur is famous for the Chennakesava Temple, a masterpiece of Hoysala architecture that is adorned with intricate sculptures and carvings. After exploring the temple complex, proceed to Hassan. After breakfast, embark on a journey to Halebeedu, the former capital of the Hoysala Empire, known for its architectural grandeur. The main attractions here are the twin temples of Hoysaleshwara and Kedareshwara, which are marvels of Hoysala craftsmanship, adorned with exquisite carvings that depict Hindu mythology and everyday life.
