Overview
This 6-day tour designed by Safarkart takes you through the scenic landscapes of Meghalaya, including the mesmerizing waterfalls, living root bridges, clean villages, and iconic natural wonders, making it an ideal trip for nature lovers and adventurers.
Itinerary
Pickup from Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and transfer to Shillong. Enroute, visit Umiam Lake (Water Sport Complex) and Barapani View Point. Upon reaching Shillong, check in at the hotel. After lunch, explore Wards Lake, Cathedral Church, Shillong Golf Course, and the Don Bosco Museum. Overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, drive to Krangsuri Waterfall (approximately 3 hours). After sightseeing, return to Shillong, enroute visiting Tyrshi Falls and Peepee Falls (both requiring approximately 45 minutes trekking), and the Nartiang Monoliths. If time permits, visit Laitlum Canyon. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong and visit Asia’s cleanest village, Tree House, Single Living Root Bridge, Sky View Point, Balancing Rock, Bophill Water Falls, Umngot River, Dawki (Bangladesh Border), and the Dawki Hanging Bridge (constructed by the British in 1932). After sightseeing, return to Shillong for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Cherapunjee. Enroute visit Shillong Peak, Elephants Falls, Duwan Sing Syiem Bridge, Mawkdok Dympep Valley, Awrah Caves, Ram Krishna Mission, Nohkalikai Falls, Eco Park, and Seven Sister Water Falls. Overnight stay in Cherapunjee.
After breakfast, embark on a trek to explore the Double Decker Root Bridge and Rainbow Water Falls (approximately 3000 steps). After the trek, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Cherapunjee.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Guwahati. After a 6-hour drive, reach
Guwahati and drop off at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for the onward journey.
