Itinerary

Upon arrival in Jabalpur, a city rich in natural wonders, mythological lore, and historical heritage, you will begin your exploration with a visit to the iconic Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat. This deep gorge is lined with towering mountains of marble, carved by the flowing Narmada River. Located around 25 km from Jabalpur, these marble rocks rise up to 100 feet, creating a mesmerizing landscape. Next, visit the stunning Dhuandhar Falls, where the Narmada River cascades down 30 meters, creating a beautiful mist. Afterward, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Jabalpur.

Check out from the hotel and proceed to Bandhavgarh, a world-renowned tiger reserve situated in the Vindhya Mountains of Central India. Bandhavgarh National Park is home to over 22 species of mammals, 250 species of birds, and 70 species of butterflies. The park is famed for its significant tiger population, and a jungle safari (subject to availability) offers a chance to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Today, proceed to Panna, a town that once served as the capital of Maharaja Chhatrasal’s kingdom in the 17th century. Panna is also a diamond mining center, but it is most famous for the Panna National Park, one of India’s most popular wildlife sanctuaries. This park is home to tigers and a variety of other wildlife species. Enjoy a jungle safari (subject to availability) and experience the rich biodiversity of the region. Overnight stay at Panna.

Check out from the hotel and travel to Khajuraho, a heritage town cradled by the Vindhya mountain range. Khajuraho is famed for its UNESCO World Heritage Site-listed temple complex, featuring both Hindu and Jain temples. Upon arrival, visit the magnificent Kandariya Mahadeo Temple, known for its intricate carvings, the Jain Temples, showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship of Jain architecture, and the Chitragupta Temple, dedicated to Surya, the sun god. In the evening, enjoy the spectacular Sound & Light Show (subject to operation). Overnight stay at Khajuraho.

Early in the morning, leave for Orchha, a town graced with medieval-style architecture dating back to the 16th century. Orchha was established as the capital of Bundelkhand by Rudra Pratap Singh, a Bundela chief in 1501 A.D. The town is rich in history, with imprints of former rulers who ruled the city at different points in history. Visit the Orchha Fort, a grand fort complex situated on a seasonal island of the Betwa River, and the Chaturbhuj Temple, originally intended to house the idol of Lord Rama. Overnight stay at Orchha.

Depart for Jhansi, a historic city located between the Pahunj and Betwa rivers. Jhansi is best known for its association with Rani Laxmi Bai, the valiant queen who played a significant role in the Revolt of 1857. Visit the Jhansi Fort, a symbol of her bravery. Continue to Datia, a town mentioned in the Mahabharata as Daityavakra, and known for its stone-walled old town and historical attractions. Afterward, travel to Gwalior, a city that blends old-world charm with modern development, attracting visitors with its historical monuments. Overnight stay at Gwalior.

Explore the historic city of Gwalior, starting with the Sun Temple, a modern architectural marvel. Visit the opulent Jai Vilas Palace, known for its grand European architecture, and the imposing Gwalior Fort, a massive sandstone fort that stands as a prestigious icon of the city. The Gwalior Fort has witnessed many historical events and is a must-visit for history enthusiasts. In the evening, enjoy some free time for shopping in the vibrant local markets.
