Itinerary
Arrive at Ahmedabad and embark on a journey to Dholavira, an ancient archaeological site located in the Kachchh District of Gujarat. Dating back to the 3rd to mid-2nd millennium BCE, Dholavira is renowned for its impressive ruins of the Indus Valley Civilization. Upon arrival, check in and explore the Rann of Kutch, a vast salt marsh that provides breathtaking views. Enjoy the stunning sunset over the Rann. Overnight stay at Dholavira.
Start your day with a visit to the Dholavira Harappan Site, the second largest Harappan site in India. Discover the remnants of the Indus Valley Civilization and marvel at its historical significance. Next, head to the Wood Fossil Park, where you can observe fossils of tree trunks dating back 16 million years. Continue your journey to Bhuj, the cultural capital of the Kutch region. Spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Bhuj.
Today, visit Kala Dungar, the highest point in Kutch, offering panoramic views of the surrounding region. Explore the local legends and enjoy the scenic vistas. Next, proceed to Dhordo to experience the mesmerizing beauty of the Rann of Kutch and witness a breathtaking sunset. Return to Bhuj for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, visit the Aina Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), an 18th-century palace known for its opulent interiors and intricate mirror work. Explore the Kutch Museum, the oldest in Gujarat, showcasing the region’s rich cultural heritage. Proceed to Mandvi, a historic port town, and visit the Vijay Vilas Palace, a royal summer retreat. Spend the evening at Mandvi Beach, a serene stretch of sand. Return to Bhuj for an overnight stay.
Check out from the hotel and travel to Jamnagar, a coastal city on the Gulf of Kutch. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Jamnagar.
From Jamnagar, proceed to Dwarka, a sacred city on the western tip of the Saurashtra peninsula. Visit the Dwarkadheesh Temple (Jagat Mandir), an ancient shrine believed to have been built by Vajranabh, Lord Krishna's great-grandson. Then, travel to Bet Dwarka, a small island with a historic temple. Enroute, visit Nageshwar Mahadev Temple, known for its tall Shiva statue. Return to Dwarka for the night.
Depart for Porbandar, a coastal city known for the Sudama Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna’s childhood friend. Continue to Somnath, renowned for the Somnath Temple, a significant spiritual site and the first of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Witness the Light and Sound Show if available. Overnight stay at Somnath.
Check out from Somnath and head to Sasan Gir, home to the majestic Asiatic Lion. Enjoy a Canter/Bus Safari at Devaliya Park (Gir Interpretation Zone) if available. Proceed to Junagadh, a city with historical and spiritual significance. In the evening, take a Ropeway ride to Mount Girnar and visit the Ambaji Temple if operational. Return to Junagadh for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, travel to Vadodara, Gujarat's cultural capital. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Vadodara.
Visit the Laxmivilas Palace, an exquisite residence of the royal family of Baroda, and then proceed to Kevadia to see the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Enjoy the grandeur of this colossal monument. Overnight stay at Kevadia or nearby.
Explore attractions around the Statue of Unity, such as the Valley of Flowers, Butterfly Garden, and Jungle Safari. Afterward, proceed to Ahmedabad. Visit the Akshardham Temple, a magnificent structure built with sandstone and known for its architectural brilliance. In the evening, witness the Laser Show if available. Overnight stay at Ahmedabad.
